The Bike Hut offers rentals, repairs and youth training on Pier 40
in San Francisco’s South Beach (Embarcadero at Townsend) near AT&T Ballpark.
RENTALS: We rent mountain and hybrid bikes for $7 per hour or $26 per day-
Helmet, lock and a good map included. Road bikes are $8 per hour or $36 per day.
Also available for rent- Tandem cruiser ($12/43),
or Alley Cat and kids’ bikes ($3.50 per hour).
We can also provide long term rentals and repurchase agreements for people
who are in SF for a month or two.
STOLEN BIKE? If you are a member of the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition and your
bike has been stolen, we will lend you a bike for free for up to a week
if you show us your SFBC membership card and a copy of the police report.
REPAIRS: We repair bikes, not just try to sell you new parts.
And, we’ll show you how to do it yourself.
Tune-ups average about $45, depending on condition.
SALES: We stock new and used parts and accessories at reasonable prices –
locks, lights, gloves, saddles, bells, tires, tubes, pedals, helmets.
We also have a wide variety of used parts and the patience to get you what you need.
We are a resource for local cyclists and a center for skills training for kids
from low-income communities. Staffed with a shop mentor, mechanics and volunteers,
the Bike Hut is a place to rent bikes, learn to build and repair them, and buy parts and accessories.
Whether you want to rent a bike for a ride on the Embarcadero, pick up some new gear,
or just learn more about bikes, stop by the Bike Hut.
The Bike Hut is open from 10 AM to 6 PM Wednesday through Sunday
(unless it’s raining hard). The Bike Hut is closed Monday and Tuesday.
